Ukrainian documentary: “Zinema” – When Movies start to kill

I am very excited to announce that I joined my friend and director Kornii Hrytsiuk & producer Evgeniya Kriegsheim as a co-producer for the documentary Zinema.

Kornii Hrytsiuk analyses the past 30 years of Russian cinema, TV series and TV films, to highlight how Russian cinema pushes xenophobic images, stories and clichés not only about Ukrainians, but also Chechens, Syrians and many others. Russian Movies and TV are unalienable part of their propaganda effort and these films go hand in hand with Russian foreign policy.
